in a veil of mystery. His obit
reads he “passed quietly on
Thursday.” As a witness, this
is true by fifty minutes. The
published date reflects a death
on Good Friday, though. When
he didn’t show up for dinner on
Sunday, we all stopped waiting for
a miracle and ate our ham in silence.
