I am sure you have all heard about the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. Ayhan Ozer, an artist who has contributed to New Feathers and who painted the cover image for the latest anthology, lives and teaches in Gaziantep, Turkey, which was at the epicenter of one of the earthquakes. Berna Ozlem Ozcan, who won the 2021 New Feathers award, is also from Turkey and lives and works there.
