a pod of orcas breached the turquoise water
Lisa Panepinto

i heard them say  the boats are too loud  we’re sick of screaming
the whole world’s hospitalized  news reports said factory farms slaughter and dump milk
and meat in fields now rather than give excess to the poor or care for animals
hundreds of meat packers got sick with the virus   the cdc said  meat is safe  essential
go to work  even if sick
billionaires said the meat packing plant is a hospital where the
dead are safe at work
people of color are more likely to be hospitalized from the virus
if the ocean has no oxygen the whole world’s dying

let me wash the world of cruelty towards people and animals through being horrified by
those deeds    let food medicine water homes and money be given to everyone for free
rest for all    no ocean drilling  no enslaved mistreated mothers on produce farms in
factories   cages extinct
flowers and berries planted by wild birds again
trees pruned by deer  transporting and buying less   foraging  growing foods and reusing
more   mountains left as they are   no new towers on holy hill
dogs running free  needing the sea to breathe
