Springer Lake
Brian Dickson

At dusk hearts camped,
kissed the algae, slipped
into the underworld.

Trout pulsed
rainbows in the morning.
Wild eyes of beer reflected

in their scales, to-do lists filched
by crawdads chased
over tents and stone.
