urban wilderness
Rose Mary Boehm

an alien body kept alive by tubes,
the neighbor’s blue beat,
hanging out the washing
when the moon was full,
wallpaper maps of years,
other voices, hardships.
flowers under stripes.
steaming,
plastering
big wooden board.
a small voice from the nursery window.
pink roses sprayed white.
set for advertising video.
or pop
grass so high I lost my child.
just.
weeping willow
over my baby’s pram,
moving leaves
play a visual melody
magpies pick out eyes.
