Oh-Kyung Jang, Feelings of Woods
Weaving Water
Akari Komura

Dial (619) 363-1968,
and recall
a primal memory
of being surrounded
by

water

in the womb.

Let your skin meet
the coolness
of rainfall,
the morning dewy grass
that brushes against your ankles,
and
the deep
ocean.

Breathe in
the smell of wet earth after rain,
a sweet scent
of blooming lotus
in pond water,
and
the salty
sea breeze.

Let your eyes meet
the reflection of sunlight
in the puddle,
a perpetual
flow of a stream,
and
the rise
and fall
of tides.

Relish water
that nurtures your body,
that mothers
aquatic and terrestrial plants,
that gives birth
to all living
things.
