Two Mo’ Tomorrow
K. Silem Mohammad

Mariah Carey, this is stupid stuff:
When seven white men take a solemn vow
To read The Wealth of Nations fast enough
To put a score of protons off their chow.

Or if it’s random questions that we need,
Oh then, for what was Dolly ever cloned?
Or why was Richard Burton built for speed?
Or why is Hippie Johnny always stoned?

So therefore, since the dome is made of owls,
And time machines are never fine or new,
Go whip the virgin mother till she howls;
Go drown the men who give her Mountain Dew.

I tell the tale some sweet potato wrote,
Reworded better, not to taint the vote.
